Friday Nite at the Movies

Join the Pre-Show fun starting 7:30 PM Friday Evening

The GLSPS is sponsoring a "Friday Nite at the Movies" get-together before the Dive Into The Past show Saturday.  We did this last year and it was a lot of fun.  We have rented two large social rooms at the hotel -- Room 108 for socializing and the Hospitality Suite across the hall for movies (Just follow the signs).  We will have projectors set up so you can show your videos, slides, or power-point shipwreck presentations to the group. It's informal and anyone can participate. Did you just take a trip to a great dive destination, make a unique dive, or just want to show your best photos.  We will have a willing and interested audience with plenty of time to socialize between clips.  We ask that you limit your presentations to 15 minutes so everyone can have a shot at presenting.  Although you don't have to register to show your stuff, we would appreciate it, if you would, so we can schedule and list the shows on the web and make sure we have provisions to connect to a projector.

Refreshments will be available.  It's BYOB for beer and drinks and bring some to share if you like. There is no entry fee, but we will have a donations jar to help cover refreshments and room rental.

Presenters Include:

Roger Southwick - "Shipwrecks of Isle Royale"

Kimm Stabelfeldt - To be announced later

Ken Merryman - "Marquette and Moonlight"

Bob Olson - " The Theano and Robert Wallace"

Bill Wallace showing "Sea Hunt"

Bill Feis "Navy Diving"

and many more.

If you would like to participate please email us at :

Please keep presentations to pertinent diving, maritime history, or shipwreck related topics.  GLSPS reserves the right to refuse presentations that are advertising of un-related products, or contain offensive or obtrusive content.
