	UWPTT Construction Class - Cliff Schmidt / Instructor The class is Saturday and Sunday, June 12 & 13, 2010. The classroom session will be held at the Lake County Court House - Law Enforcement Center in Two Harbors MN in the morning from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and the Open water will be Saturday afternoon, 1:30 PM to whenever we finish all students. The underwater session of the class will take place at the Shipwreck, S.P. Ely, in Agate Bay near the break wall, out in the harbor. As people sign up, additional information will be sent via email.
	First Aid, CPR, O2 & AED Training To help promote safety, Scott Wemyss of Air Down There Scuba is offering the GLSPS a special price for another First Aid, CPR, O2 & AED Training on May 19th.
	S.S. Meteor 2010 Preservation project on April 24 - 25 Your help is needed to get the SS Meteor Museum Ready for the 2010 Season This is a very worthy cause and if we don't attempt to preserve this one-of-a-kind Whaleback ship, it could be lost forever! Please come join us in preserving one of the only "Whaleback Ships" remaining in the world! We are looking for a few good men and women to help preserve the S.S. Meteor.

Underwater Preservation - Tools and Techniques Class (UWPTT) June 13 and 14 2009.
Ten students completed the course and now are able to join the GLSPS in any Underwater Preservation Project involving tools and minor construction.
America Staircase restored and put on display at Lake Superior Magazine April 25, 2009.
S.S. Meteor Project April 25 and 26 2009. Many tasks were completed and first time welding on the ship was performed. 50 plus volunteers were present. GREAT JOB LSMMA, GLSPS and SPM !
On October 1, 2008 the Schooner Moonlight was approved for inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places. GLSPS worked with Keith Meverden and Tamara Thomsen of Wisconsin Historic Society SHPO and Brendon Baillod to complete this work.
This is the third successful nomination for GLSPS in as many years.
On Feb 13, 2008 the Marquette was unanimously voted to the National Register of Historic Places.
This is the second successful nomination for GLSPS.
