This project is an on going but challenging project for the GLSPS.  We need lots of help and hopefully some expertise from someone with the abilities to work with rotting wood.

To learn more about the project please click here - Essex Mast Restoration Project

Ken Merryman and other active volunteers have performed many experiments on the wood that is left over from the Essex Mast.  We are hoping we can salvage it and be able to restore it to somewhat of an original condition.

In the spring, March through April, the GLSPS plans on completing the experiments to the wood and decide on how we move forward with the restoration project.

If you are interested in joining us on this project, please contact Ken Merryman to find out when, where and how you can help.  His contact information is under the "Contact Us" section of the GLSPS website.
