Jay Hanson from North Shore Scenic Cruises has helped the GLSPS on many projects. Jay has many years of experience as a Captain, dive shop owner, dive instructor and commercial diver.

Jay has taken a different path for the past few years and his scuba charters are no longer available. However, in 2012, Jay purchased the Wenonah which was previously used to transport people from Grand Portage, MN to Isle Royale, MI. He now offers day cruises on the North Shore of Lake Superior and is docked at the Silver Bay, MN Marina.

HCMC Hyperbaric Chamber Facility Tour
Closing Report

Once again the FREE Tour of the HCMC Hyperbaric Chamber Facilities was a huge success.  Many folks found it very interesting including a couple of fireman from the rural area of the Twin Cities.  They will now be doing some training witht he HCMC staff to assure they are trained properly for burned victims.
The GLSPS enjoyed offering this free tour of the HCMC Hyperbaric Chamber Facilities in Minneapolis MN.  We will continue witht he free tour evey year until interest drops off.  We are working on a possible tour in the AM for those that can't make the afternoon tours.  Please watch the GLSPS website for the tour again next year around April.
Here is the link to the Photo page album for the tour.  HCMC 2014 HCMC Hyperbaric Chamber Tour Photos
Thank you to all that joined us for the tour and we hope you found this tour very educational and informative.  If you are a diver and have the unlikely event of having to use the facilities, you will be confident that you will have the best treatment possible and will have a better chance in regaining a full recovery.
We hope to see you on another project this year.
